I would guess that Musk also has to determine this indirect rate for his federal contracts, but he might actually have an incentive to keep it low. The less you spend on overhead, the more you can spend on actually accomplishing the work (paying for labor, buying materials, etc)

Not sure we have an obsession. Most liberal arts degrees - the one that makes you 'well rounded ' - are light on science/math. Most grade school curriculum is incredibly heavy on reading,writing, history. I think the bigger mistake is confusing STEM with software (only)
