Ed Miliband has already approved a number of mass-scale solar panels on UK farmland despite numerous local objections. Solar panels shouldn’t be used on fields that are cultivated for our food growing supply. Instead, put them on brownfields, car parks, roofs and roads.

If you drive an electric vehicle to do your bit to ‘save the planet’, it is more than likely that the vehicle has a battery with cobalt in it. Over 40,000 child slaves mine the cobalt in horrific conditions in Congo. Electric cars are now the biggest source of cobalt demand.
