Angular v15.1 includes < Self-Closing Component Tags /> Available now for all components without projected content. 📽️
@angular Someone inform the angular team thats its 2023
@angular This was in react for the last million years? Why was it missing in angular?
@angular Now let's write the selector with titlecase and we have pseudo component tags 🌶️ 😬😅
@angular Vue, Svelte, React, and finally Angular. Thanks for this feature but am a huge fan of separation of concern and writing clean semantically correct HTML. I have Emmet automatically generate my HTML hence self-closing tags don't mean much to me.
@angular Like the iPhone "inventing new features" that Android have had for 5 years 😂
@angular I asked about this years ago stackoverflow.com/q/41178182
@angular Is there any other reason, other than the team not caring about self closing tags, as to why this has been introduced just now?? Lol
@angular Please we need support for scss / nested CSS in single file components.
@angular Looks clean, but interesting how autoclose or emmet plugins will work with it
@angular Wow, impressive, first JS framework to do that. How come nobody thought about this before?
