Do you know Nuakhai is principally a social festival of community bonding. It’s when people visit especially the ones with whom one may have had tiffs, disagreements or even physical fights and embrace & reconcile ! All forgotten !! Isn’t what we need everywhere !! 💐💐🙏

8% indian possess 4 wheelers & 45% 2 wheelers.Very soon this no will go up.Can our roads ever accommodate them?Efficient public transport will reduce personal vehicle.What’s the right mix & the path forward must be publicly debated & transparently decided fld by decisive action .

Plenty of evidence that we are producing way too much paddy. All states, including Odisha demand that Centre pick up more rice for central pool. FCI sits on huge rice inventory. Obviously high MSP drives farmers to grow paddy. There is no shortage of term solution. Diversify!!!

There cannot be great diplomacy without a strong eco.Trump dare not pick on China even when it’s their strategic foe .India’s years’ of feel good diplomacy came to naughts because we r but marginal players in the global eco.We need to get serious on hard reformsNo time to loose!

Notwithstanding great policies the execution is the problem in Odisha as far as ind & tourism projects r concerned. It’s sad to see yrs before the environmental clearances r secured by hotel projects. Compliant to all CRZ guidelines, projects just wait yrs before it clearance !

It’s increasing become a massive torture in commuting the Jaydev Vihar NK stretch.5/7 yrs back when Flyovers were planned some Sr officers came up with some outlandish logic & scuttled the same. One of them is enjoying his time in delhi while we are bearing the brunt.

Read that 10000 police men deployed for the Rath Yatra at Puri. It must be a record. In my view the police to be effective has to be led by officers discisively.The reported mismanagement in crowd control leading to stampede should be investigated and responsibility fixed.

It’s undeniable that there is free for all at this point. Ballistic missiles launch , drone attack in swarms,war sirens, terms which were academic are becoming part of everyday lives at many places on earth. Sometime I feel we need a policeman for the planet.

The aviation regulator needs to pull up its efforts. The Kedarnath helicopter crashes have been far too frequent. The Air India catastrophe has shaken traveler’s confidence.Experts hv commented on lax maintenance by indian carriers. Visible & tough actions needed ! #DGCA

Set off from home base bbsr for a visit abroad to find shattered luggage on the belt thanks to Air India at IGL.They offered to repair &thankfully hv some transit time.But most certainly hv to buy a new one considering the long travel onwards! Have mercy loaders ! 🥲@airindia

I find race to register to GI tags of relatively obscure products .As someone who applied & secured Basmati GI I feel where substantial trade interest exist providing scope for imitation it makes sense. GI is not brand building. First producers may increase their business.
