All of Mackenzie Kelly's hard work paid off this January when the former Leaving Cert Applied student (Athboy Community School Class of 2022) was presented with the Fergal Quinn award for the Highest Credits received in the Midlands region. Congratulations Mackenzie.

Well done to Ms O'Hare's 6th year Etain group who organised the Christmas Jumper Day. They raised a total of €530 for the Irish Cancer Society. Thanks to all the staff and students who supported this fundraiser.

They say all good things must come to an end and so it was last Saturday night with the last performance of Back to the 80's. For four nights it kept us all singing, swaying, laughing and awestruck by the musical and dance talent on stage in our school.

On the 17th and 18th of November last twenty five leaving cert History students accompanied by Ms. Fitzgerald and Mr. Maxwell took part in a History trip to Northern Ireland. The students whilst in Belfast visited Stormont parliament buildings and the Ulster Museum.

Fifth Year students, accompanied Ms Mooney and Ms Gillic recently visited Microsoft to participate in the Dream Space Academy where they were introduced to artificial intelligence and computer science. The workshops involved designing an algorithm and coding robots.

The Dance Workshop with Pasquale La Rocca of ("Dancing with the Stars" fame) originally scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday 10th May has now been re-scheduled for Wednesday 18th May from 3.45 to 4.45 p.m. in the Sports Hall. The cost is €10 per student and can be paid on the day.
