Was randomly talking to a group of Muslims at a Mumbai protest. They said “हम तो निकलते ही नहीं भाईजान, अरे हम मंदिर मस्जिद के फ़ैसले पे नहीं निकले तो अब क्या निकलते, वो तो बच्चे निकल आए सड़क पे हमारे लिए, आप लोग निकल आए। फिर घर कैसे बैठते? भाइयों के साथ तो खड़ा होना ही पड़ेगा।”

A lot of upmarket cafes have started installing these "safe seats". Does this really help or is it just putting more plastic out there? How hard is it for people to just lift the seat? Putting up a sign to remind them (just in case) may be more pragmatic, no?
