One of the most impactful educational injustices teachers practice with good, if misguided, intentions is to tell a student their sub-par, even shoddy, work is good (and grade it accordingly) because "at least she tried" or because "it's good work for HIM." #edchat

In the mid-90s, Ted Sizer once told me something that has informed, directly or indirectly, all I do today: " If you want your students & your teachers to flourish, do everything possible to set up an environment most conducive for that to happen, and then get out of their way."
