Re: the Respect for Marriage Act (RFMA), in light of it being said to "codify" same-sex marriage (SSM), and especially as people react to the LDS church coming out in favor of it: Conservatives (including that church) are playing a game of "heads, nothing changes; tails, I win."

This statement is more confusing than anything. The emphasis is placed on the church wanting religious freedom exemptions from generally applicable laws. What religious exemptions, exactly, do they want?

Reducing car dependency doesn't necessarily mean no one is driving. We can also focus on reducing the # of vehicles each household needs. There are plenty of 2+ car households that could reduce to 1 if replacing with an e-bike and public transit.

This weekend I got a letter from the condo board in my neighborhood of townhouses. It says we broke the bylaws by letting our kids play in front of our house Apparently our kids are an "obstruction" to vehicles which breaks bylaws But then they say it's a safety issue.
