How can I skip the Microsoft Edge first run experience for all users in a lab environment? I have to go through 4 (!) manual steps every single time I open Edge the first time in a test VM for a new user. The "HideFirstRunExperience" registry key doesn't even show up in ProcMon:
@awakecoding Not a fix but you can press ESC instead of clicking through the 4 prompts
@awakecoding I turn it off via GPO, but in any case, what you screenshotted is the number 1 reason why our users hate Edge. They don't even want to be bothered with it.
@awakecoding really grinds my gears when I restore a test VM snapshot and get this 😆
@awakecoding Pretty sure I remove this with a hide splash screen GPO
@awakecoding Just install firefox or chrome in the image. Probably faster than fighting ms with this shit...
@awakecoding It's painful, you can't change the page for new tabs either. I curse every time!
@awakecoding download firefox via IRM and never open edge 😜
@awakecoding Gpo for edge can diable first experiance.
@awakecoding It's very very sad but I did find one trick. I have some dummy reg keys that make the os seem domain joined and therefore honour reg keys that are normally ignored that make the browser suck a little less.
@awakecoding Open a second one and ignore this one? It used to be working like that
