As someone who is #blind I shouldn’t have to play dodgems with e-scooters just to get out of Lime Street Station. Dumped like this, they’re not just a nuisance, they’re a hazard. We need safer, more accessible streets. #blindSafety #Liverpool #EScooters #AccessibilityMatters

Proper happy with my #parkrun time this morning 23:55 (quickest in a year!) And yeah, I know it’s not all about the times, but sometimes it’s nice to push a bit. Thanks to all the lovely volunteers who motivate all the runners and walkers on the way round 👏 #BlindRunner

I’m 48 and #blind. I was so excited about @Meta @ray_ban smart glasses — but they don’t fit. I wear youth-size frames, and these are too big. Accessibility means wearability. Please make smaller sizes so blind users like me can benefit too. #Accessibility #SmartGlasses

I’m blind & I’ve ALWAYS worked. But, life without sight is a challenge.. #RachelReeves has not shown one bit of understanding towards #disabled people, so I personally find it difficult to feel sorry for any tears she may have cried at PMQ’s today. I couldn’t see them anyway!

Crossing a road today, using my cane (because I can’t see) and the driver, who I could hear had slowed down, yells out of his window ‘I’m flashing my lights at you to cross’ Me ‘thanks but I’m blind I can’t see your lights’ Like, how did he not know this? 🤔

Today feels like a ‘green cane’ kind of day It matches my dress! It’s also important to raise awareness of coloured canes. For too long #blind and #PartiallySighted have been ‘given’ a white cane. Now it’s all about choice. Colour matters even when you can’t see 💚
