This study implements a CBT-like program in the spirit of procedural justice, w the Seattle PD. It's an RCT, but the sample is small & implementation logistics made analysis tricky. Results are promising. I'd love to see it replicated w a bigger sample! doi.org/10.1111/1745-9…

-Make noise if you see someone causing trouble (bang pots and pans, for example). -Spend the day getting ready for the worst, but also to meet neighbors you don't know yet so you know who is who as this goes on. Above all don't be stupid.

-Keep exterior lights on tonight. -Bring garbage bins, grills and anything else that could fuel a fire, or anything in your yard that could be used as a projectile into your garage or home -Connect your hose, make sure your water is turned on. Have buckets ready for water 1/2

My dad has been a restaurant owner on Lake St. for 20+ years. Last night a group of confirmed white supremacists dressed in all black with gas masks. They tried multiple times to hammer down our restaurant and set it on fire. People from the neighborhood helped protect it.
