@benleo444 Migrants aren’t hollowing Britain out, they’re keeping its economy, NHS, and services alive. The real hollowing comes from bad governance.
1) Grooming gangs are absolutely an issue, but they're used as a racist dog-whistle in the UK when there's radio silence on white grooming gangs. His President is allegedly a member of the highest profile grooming gang of all time. 2) Knife crime is actually worse in the US. And they have gun crime on top of that. 3) ME asylum seekers wouldn't need to come here if we stopped bombing their countries. Brexit, something his allies here are a big fan of, has removed some of the blockers we had in deterring and managing the flow of asylum seekers. 4) There are no blocks on free speech in the UK. In fact, the likes of Trump and Farage are among the biggest dangers to free speech in their respective countries.

@benleo444 We have a LOT of issues here in the US even still, I am grateful to be an American. I am hopeful that those in the UK and Europe will rise up and rescue their countries and cultures before it is too late. It is much harder without the rights of the 1 & 2 amendments.

The US was born from the ideas of the English enlightenment which the founding fathers codified. Britain prospered while we stuck to these ideals, but we never codified them, and now in the 20th (slowly) and 21st century (quickly) they're eroding away. In fact our "founding father" for 21st century Britain is more aptly Tony Blair, who legally codified his governance principles.
What your government is doing is horrifying to Americans. We are not the same. And that is a new realization for a lot of people. American free speech is radical and sacred. Democrats are losing to Trump and MAGA because of it. It is a cultural groundswell of outrage. Now we see that UK is so much worse and even those on the left in the US are shocked.
