Gyokres is completely different to any type of striker we’ve had before. A real bulldozer that bully’s defenders, will feed off scraps, and be completely selfish with only scoring in his mind. Absolutely needed. Scary hours once he finds his feet with the premier league.

Something feels off with the Eze to Spurs deal. I anticipate it to happen, but the fact he’s likely to start today tells me the deal is still some way off. I don’t expect Arsenal to step in, but I’d imagine there is part of Eze’s camp which wishes they would. Bizarre summer.

- Gabriel was immense - Ødegaard was good, albeit wasteful at times and didn’t stop running - Gyok looks strong and like he wants to score - We have serious depth at RB/CB - We got 3 points at Old Trafford 🔑 That’s all I’ve got.

The fact is.. If Noni Madueke plays for any other PL club, Arsenal fans would be raving that we’re investing in squad depth. I hate that we fund Chelsea football club more than anyone. But I do think he’s better than any other player we had come off the bench last season.

There are players that have made a real impact, that would rightfully be in the mix for player of the year. Timber, MLS, Gabriel, Rice, Saka etc. But Thomas Partey has without doubt been our most consistent and most versatile player, in a season that we needed it most.

For those slating Partey for the goal error, and I say this purely as a footballing opinion not to do with anything going on outside. He is a CM playing out of position. We have been so unlucky with injuries but only because our squad has been so thin/players overused.

It can’t be a coincidence that City’s form has dipped horrendously as the 115 charges have come to a close. Hopefully they go through a rebuild that will set them back a few seasons. Second half of this season we have to be immense to have any chance of winning the league.
