had a student cry bc the answers I GAVE HER were “wrong bc i want to ruin her life” & another student yell at the top of their lungs “YOU’RE GOING TO GIVE ME A SMILEY FACE RIGHT NOW OR I’M TELLING YOUR MOMMY” & well it’s only tuesday & i’ve already contemplated quitting 30 times

i was testing my student’s reading level & she said “is-land instead of i-land” and when i corrected her she said “but ms. thompson there’s an s after the i?!?” & tbh i was stumped and didn’t know what to say, so i just told her life will never make sense, keep reading
