Google Play will ban non-custodial wallets unless developers hold a FinCEN, state banking, or MiCA license. In the EU, MiCA rules effectively block such wallets entirely from the store.
This is really bad for self custodial bitcoin apps. Many self custodial wallet developers would not be able to comply with these regulations. Pretty big loss on the self sovereignty and privacy side of things. support.google.com/googleplay/and…
