@JeremyVineOn5 I started work at 15 yrs old. No equality for me then. Couldn't get a mortgage or finance. Paid higher N.I. To enable me to retire with a SP at 60 found out at 58yrs 4mnths that I wouldn't get my SP until 66! So NO time to prepare. I can protect my home from theft but not my SP!

@JeremyVineOn5 @alisonfletch1 It’s theft plain and simple. Govt have stolen the money from these women who paid into the system for decades. Pension funds have been pilfered, no other explanation. 😠

@JeremyVineOn5 Lots of men missing the point. Yes, we want equality, no we don't have it, but the point is that these women were robbed of the years they thought they wd have to set themselves up for retirement.

@JeremyVineOn5 Im one of those women affected. Been living on JSA for 5 years,sick of using foodbanks ,just to eat. This government has got the blood of nearly 100,000 women on their hands. These women have died in the last 5 years,without seeing a penny of their pensions. Im spitting feathers

@JeremyVineOn5 Women born in the 50s didn't have "careers" they married had children and stayed at home raising them. When able to do so they found part time low paid jobs to work around school hours. Once their children were old enough they entered the job market. Let's talk about equality!

@JeremyVineOn5 Yes, it does affect me Worked and paid IN since 16 NEVER had EQUAL PAY NEVER had EQUAL JOB OPPORTUNITIES NEVER had "Male Perks" Company Car, Occupational Pension, Private Health Care MEN seen as "Breadwinner" WOMEN seen as "Pin Money" Maybe I should have been a TV Presenter?
