Both gay marriage and drugs belong in the 10th amendment bucket. Let states pick whatever they want. It's egregious that a Supreme Court ruling that doesn't interpret the Constitution very well is the only thing legalizing gay marriage in most states.

I actually agree with Newsom on this one. Picking favorites within the US is dumb. Everybody pays taxes, they should keep it that way. The government shouldn't make more money on one company or another otherwise they'll play favorites. politico.com/news/2025/08/2…

Rather than take equity positions in private companies, perhaps the government could confiscate ~20% of pre-tax earnings. And then when it comes to control, Congress could pass laws governing corporate behavior.
