For once, he was somewhat speechless. Not on his bingo board. Getting confessed to. Especially not by his best friend. Though he had long since admitted to himself that he had been in love with the General Mahamatra for many years, he had just been too scared to say so.

His heart was racing as he let his gaze linger on Cyno mouth suddenly dry. Not a joke...? But since when...? Sure, they often skirted the boundaries of friendship more than a few times... But... It was just playing, right? "...I love you, too, you know?" So soft and hesitant.

"Of course you don --- wait... I'm sorry, what... did you say?" No, no, no. That was impossible. Beyond impossible. He had definitely heard him wrong. Ears flattened to his head, that smile on his lips faltering for a moment. "Ah... I thought I said no jokes... Jeeze, Cyno."

The blush on his cheeks only seemed to grow more intense with each 'praise' that dropped from the others lips. Clears his throat, glancing away, a finger nervously itching at his cheek. "Next you'll tell me you're in love with me." There's no chance of that, obviously.

"Many qualities? Are you sure you're not just trying to butter me up for something?" He's not truly suspicious, he's just trying to hide the fact that he's... flustered. Cyno's words did always have a way of getting to him in the most wonderful ways. "No jokes, either."

"Mmm, early morning is the perfect time to have some peace and quiet. I have time to eat my breakfast and work on my notes." Quietly takes a sip of his coffee, relaxing under a tree to start his day off just right.

Another poor soul lost to the poisonous mushrooms of the Avidiya Forest. May they learn to read the signs next time.

Blinked slowly, a faint pink tint soon spreading across his cheeks. "You're so incorrigible sometimes... But it's lucky for you that I like that quality in you, my General Mahamatra.~" The slightest tease in his tone as they walked, his tail swaying behind him.

"Oh? Cyno, that's very thoughtful of you." Though there was no hesitance in his own movements, placing his hand upon the others for just a brief pause before purposely twining their fingers together. "If you talk like that too much it will become a problem." Just a tease.

"A small break is important. I should remember my words and apply them to my own means." Gazed up at the stars from the spot where he lay under a tree, arms folded behind his head. The soft breeze coupled with the soft humming of the local wildlife was truly relaxing.

"Your protection and dedication to my well-being is always appreciated, General.~" His ears flicked as the leaf was plucked, blinking carefully as he didn't even realize it had been there in the first place. "I'm alright. Work is done, so I can go home to some peace and quiet."

"Sigh. Another day of people not heeding warnings about not eating any old mushroom they find..." Only occasionally wishes for them to suffer a moment longer so that they might learn their lesson. But he's far too kind for that.
