I get what Coach Fitz is saying, but the TV experience is why people are staying home and not attending college football games. The TVs are too good and so are the prices at home
@bustedcoverage Well and universities still haven’t figured out that having lower prices on food, drink, beer will get people to spend MORE. And spend more on tickets and parking. Make the experience cheaper inside the stadium.
@bustedcoverage Personal Seat License. Average ticket for a game at The Big House this year $123. Water bottle: $5. Insane. I’m out after this year. So ends my 59 years of attendance. 🤷🏻♂️
@bustedcoverage A U of M game in September is torture . Hot and wedged into 12 inches of bleacher seat . Hard pass, give me the golf course tailgate
@bustedcoverage And you don’t have to stand in line for 2 hours and go through a metal detector to get into your living room.
@bustedcoverage Great TVs!!! Convenient to stay home. I don’t think Northwestern ever really “sold out games”. When we travel there it is more Red than purple, Schools with the tradition still pack stadiums. Look at Nebraska, Ohio St, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc
@bustedcoverage Plus at home you see every game. Plenty of times I have as much/more interest in games not involving my team
@bustedcoverage I’m all about the couch. I’m no longer a 40 something adolescent needing to “blow off steam” at a tailgate. Give me my remote, my fridge, my clean bathroom and I’m good. Although I will say it’s harder and harder to be invested in 4 hour plus games. College football has zero pace
@bustedcoverage Mr. Demographics. Fact is people have better things to do than go watch Northwestern football. @SEsq212 @POLIV411
@bustedcoverage Did anybody take into effect that college football stinks and the ncaa is crooked or no?
@bustedcoverage and northwestern historically sucks...
@bustedcoverage Ticket prices, traffic, no booze at game, waiting for bathroom, 75inch tv at home.
@bustedcoverage The ticket prices wouldn't be so bad but it's concessions and parking! You're paying 20 bucks to park. Then for a water and nachos it's another 15 bucks. Concession prices are out of hand.
@bustedcoverage Pay for me to see one of your games. Pay for tickets, parking, concessions. Forget it, I’ll just watch on my couch 😂😂😂
@bustedcoverage plus it’s Northwestern so there’s that ...
@bustedcoverage College prices have got as bad as pros, no one to blame but themselves
@bustedcoverage Exactly. Not phones plus prices for everything at games
@bustedcoverage Funny how his reasoning as to why attendance is declining for games is to point to examples of people attending things. The couples were OUT AT DINNER and the concertgoers were AT THE CONCERT.
