Listened to many "how to build an audience" convos on Clubhouse. Many folks who did this 5yrs+ ago shared the same GENERIC advice: "Stay consistent. Put in the reps. Create great content". IMO: that's a pre-requisite, but not very helpful. Less-obvious points I've learned ↓
1/ One platform at a time. @APompliano & @jackbutcher focused efforts to not spread themselves too thin. There's a huge benefit to building natively for each platform. Make the most of the algorithm's juice. Learn. Then bring those folks to your next rodeo 👇🏾
@bzaidi These are great insights, thanks for sharing. Btw, I've recently started listening to your podcast. The one with @mikaelcho is my favourite so far.
@bzaidi @jackbutcher This is brilliant 👌 Thanks for the concise summary 💥
@bzaidi This is stellar, Bilal. I’m enjoying your interview style too. Nice work mate!
@bzaidi One of the best threads about building audience! Thanks for putting it together!
@bzaidi Awesome thread! Do you have any advice for LinkedIn, how to grow an audience and how to beat the algorithm? And regarding rented vs owned: would you even consider doing the Twitter Super Follower thing or do substack etc instead?
@bzaidi Loved reading this thread so much I just converted. Thank you for the time and effort to compile these notes.
