If he wanted Cabana fired, then negotiate the deal to come in, and before signing, tell Tony the only way im signing is if you fire Cabana. Not when his contract is up, because his contract was set to expire.

Everyone knew punk would draw in every metric. Why wait a year? Cabanas contract was up & was being ghosted like many others. Hardly on TV before Punk, hardly on TV when punk was there, hardly seen since. Maybe cabana isn't a draw and isn't very good

Punk did commentary on Thanksgiving Eve for a cabana match in 2021. Why try to get him fired a year in? Why not negotiate the deal, then ask for cabana to be fired before signing the deal. Punk wouldn't talk without his lawyer present.
