an important point! technologies should be incremental: easy to try out and remove where they aren't working well beware the technology that promises you paradise if only you will rewrite everything!

I just released ipytest 0.12.0. It re-adds the "raise_on_error" config option. After setting it "True", failed tests will raise an exception. This behavior may be helpful if ipytest is used in CI/CD jobs. github.com/chmp/ipytest/r…

Gotta admit, I'm a bit dissapointed that "CONSTANT as NAME" still binds "CONSTANT" with Python's new pattern matching syntax. I already planned on using "CONSTANT as _" as a workaround. (That "_" is not valid variable name is this context is an additional issue)

Do you use @pandas_dev with string columns? Do you have code posted publicly that is not as fast as you would like? Please share! We will make strings faster in @pandas_dev soon but it would be nice to have real world benchmarks alongside that work.
