@PplsCityCouncil @FilmThePoliceLA @SheilaKuehl Max Huntsman referenced in this letter openly stated he fears his life. Testifying @ the COC for @canAVcontract I strongly stated that he could imagine the terror in the hearts of community members, mostly BIPOC folks who have been targets of state violence for speaking up.

LASD clearly doesn’t provide training on much of anything whether it be about LGBTQ folks or students. Cap Lecrivain similarly struggled when directly asked about school resource deputies in AV and provided COC with a laughable document outlining such policies @canAVcontract

On California school campuses, school resource officers can detain and question students as long as they do not do so arbitrarily or to harass them. This is completely backwards -- our students deserve stronger 4th amendment protections, not weaker.
