I'm struck again about how weird it is that, somewhere along the way, we (in the West) decided that the goal of Christian discipleship is being right, and that I can't love and serve people who don't know that I disagree with how they live or what they believe.

The pastor of our sister church told me this story. Some leaders were meeting at church a few weeks ago and they ordered pizza. One man invited the delivery guy to come to church the next day. The sermon that day was all about God’s forgiveness.

Christians MUST grapple with 2nd Amendment rights. I'm a Christian, an Aussie, an American, a gun owner. Paul set us an example as a Roman citizen. His rights as a Roman ALWAYS submitted to his allegiance to Jesus. Our kids are more precious. 14/14

Last night I spent time with my teen daughter who has only ever known school shooting as a normal part of her life. She talked me through every hallway, every situation and location in her school and what she has done to imagine where she would go or what she would do. 1/

but the reality is that most of America’s gun culture is driven by Christians. There are complicated reasons that explain this, but most of them boil down to the fact that we are more discipled by our national lore than by Jesus of Nazareth. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

I’d like to speak to Evangelicals. If you are like me, you’ve spent most of your life being told that you have to vote Republican to be a good Christian. I understand if your convictions prevent you from voting for a Democrat. But let me suggest something: 1/10
