#Day88 #365DaysOfCode Had an interview yesterday! First time whiteboarding simple algorithms. Its surprising how different it is working when you are nervous vs. when you are working normally. I think I did pretty good for my first time, but I've got more to learn!

#Day73 #365DaysOfCode Learning about CI/CD and Devops and how engineering your software is more than writing code. Dealing with some major burnout. A valuable lesson to learn early is that you are NOT a machine. You need sleep and food and you can't ignore stress forever.

#Day33 #365DaysOfCode Finally past the 1 month mark! My projects have gotten a LOT more in depth, so I have been tweeting less often. Focusing on web apps using Maven. Learning about the Front Controller design pattern and other considerations when designing a web application.

#Day25 #365DaysOfCode Working with JDBC to and Postgres to add data persistence to my Java application. Working out some bugs with reading the result set. Just trying to remember to ask myself 'What am I trying to do?' and allow myself to refactor later, so I don't get stuck.

#Day21 #365DaysOfCode Starting to solidify my understanding of OOP concepts in Java. Reviewed Multithreading and how it can be useful for Java Applications, as well as things to consider when creating different threads. For example, Livelocking and Deadlocking.

#Day17 #365DaysOfCode Back to creating a UML diagram for an upcoming project. Learned about Threading and how to create your own threads in Java. Reviewed difference between a Deadlock and a Livelock. Also learned about different design patterns, like Factory and Singleton.

#Day16 #365DaysOfCode Reviewed how Java Exceptions work and which should be handled. Reviewed Java Collections API and best cases in which each should be utilized. Also reviewed .equals() and .hashCode() and why they should be overridden. My brain hurts, but I'm having fun.

#Day15 #365DaysOfCode Reviewing the practical uses of Abstract class and Interfaces. Explored unit testing using Maven and JUnit for java applications. Explored how engineering differs from coding.

#Day14 #365DaysOfCode Reviewing foundational OOP in Java. Creating a hotel console application from scratch to check in and check out guests.

#Day13 #365DaysOfCode Catching up on missed tweets from the weekend. Submitted my first Java Web Application assignment! I'm starting to really the the hang of servlets, jsps, and the DAO pattern!

#Day12 #365DaysOfCode Practicing with algorithms in Java! Exploring different ways to solve the same problem, and when one solution is preferable over another.

#Day11 #365DaysOfCode Created DAO Interfaces and implementing classes which connect to my PostgreSQL database and perform CRUD operations. Any 'get' methods return a list of POJOs that can be used in other parts of the app. Learning how to utilize Java servlets to improve my app!
