Catenary Maps loads faster now, thanks to compact_str, a crate that inlines small strings. Most strings stored in the realtime dataset are small, such as stop ids, and can easily be inlined. docs.rs/compact_str/la…

Hi @RideARTbus ! Your GTFS realtime has a mistake in it. The start time should not be a timestamp. "Format and semantics of the field is same as that of GTFS/frequencies.txt/start_time, e.g., 11:15:35 or 25:15:35." - GTFS.org We hope this helps!

Catenary Maps's "Maple Syrup" compression algorithm compress schedules by a factor of 10. We organise trips by common departure / arrival itinerary patterns (stop B is 3 min after stop A) and then only store the starting time of each trip. Global dataset: 493 GB -> 52 GB.
