@amg227_ @BrianBrenberg Wrong. If you can pass a $4K deduction under reconciliation, you can pass a $40K deduction. They quadrupled the SALT deduction, right? $40K would eliminate Social Security taxes for the vast majority of low and middle income recipients. It became a battle of fiscal priorities.
