BuyPass have announced they are terminating their free ACME services in October. If you are using their service you should begin migration now.

Let's Encrypt and Google Trust Service are some of our suggested alternatives.
Just solved ACME challenges for all standard ACME certificate clients you might find in an organization.
No more public HTTP ports, no more DNS credentials littered around, admin says who gets a cert and who doesn't.
Soon to Certify Management Hub: docs.certifytheweb.com/docs/hub/
You can use v7.x onwards of our apps to get IP address certificates where supported by the CA.
Let's Encrypt currently have this feature planned and it's available though their staging API using the "shortlived" ACME profile.

Certify Management Hub v7.0.2 (alpha 8) is out now for Linux, Windows and docker/containers. docs.certifytheweb.com/docs/hub/
Centralized certificate management, optionally with distributed management agents (linux & windows).
Reminder that if you are using your certs for Client authentication (sometimes used as authentication for machines talking to machines) that feature is being removed from most ACME CA certs.

We are seeing a surge in reports of problems with the ZeroSSL ACME API. status.zerossl.com
Keep in mind that if you have multiple CA accounts configures the app can automatically fallback to a different CA: docs.certifytheweb.com/docs/guides/ce…
If you suddenly have trouble talking to Let's Encrypt from an older (or upgraded) version of Windows using tools like Certify The Web or win-acme etc, see this:

Let's Encrypt are discontinuing client certificates in 2026 - these are the ones you might use to authenticate a client (app etc) to a server, not traditional web server certs.

It's definitely not released or even ready for testing yet but our upcoming Certify Management Hub has had hundreds of downloads this week alone.
People must really want centralised management of certificates! More coming soon.

Let's Encrypt are revoking a subset of certificates that were issued without a Subject.

This issue does not affect Certify The Web users.
If you've been affected by the DigiCert certificate revocation incident, now is a great time to consider using ACME (automated certificate management).

With the right tools you can transparently recover from cert revocation. See certifytheweb.com
For all Let's Encrypt users, their new certificate chains rollout shortly. That means the R3 intermediate is going away and you *may* find systems that are affected when your certs next renew.

We're rebuilding our reporting dashboard feature so that any ACME client can report to it. What do you most want in a certificate renewals reporting dashboard? What's nice to have?

If you are currently using GoDaddy as a DNS API provider for DNS challenges for ACME certificates, note they have recently limited their API to accounts with 10 or more domains and you will encounter validation errors if your account does not meet their requirements.
If you currently have administrative access to any Windows based machine or server, do you know how to get to the ProgramData folder (or the regional/locale variation)?
HTTP validation tip: If you have been filtering incoming port 80 IP ranges for HTTP validation on your server, don't!
Let's Encrypt have switched on more global validation perspectives and filtering will likely result in failed secondary validation: community.letsencrypt.org/t/lets-encrypt…
Reminder: If you are using an old version (5.2 or lower) of Certify The Web on your servers you *must upgrade now*. If you don't, your renewals will fail and you will hit CA rate limits preventing you from quickly fixing the problem.
