Our beloved Jefferson Salamander is the ultimate bachelor! We're closing part of King Road so our eligible bachelors can date and mate with their true loves. (1/5)
Starting on March 5, King Road, from North Service Road to Mountain Brow Road, will be closed so the salamanders can cross the road safely. Local traffic for all properties between North Service Road and the escarpment will be maintained. (2/5)
King Road will reopen for through traffic on April 2, once the salamanders are expected to finish their annual crossing. (3/5)
We're proud to continue partnering with @ConservHalton to make sure that Jefferson Salamanders can cross the road safely to their spring breeding ponds. It really does help this endangered species’ survival and population. (4/5)
@ConservHalton Thank you for your help in protecting Jefferson salamander populations in our city. The road closure plays a vital role in protecting their species and allowing them to breed. Learn more at bit.ly/42RtaGw. (5/5)
