Introducing new GitHub Copilot features in VS Code! There's a LOT going on, so here's everything we have to show you...🧵
You can now move the chat session from the sidebar into the editor space. Which gives you a lot more room for....activities.
@code The first thing I would want copilot to do is make sure I don't publish any private keys, or have any vulnerabilities in the code I push. Can it do that? Can it review my code for security bugs?
@code if you like copilots - give your own users a copilot too! 🪁CopilotKit = a copilot in any react app, in minutes Not too late to be forever your team's hero - by shipping a working copilot by the end of the day github.com/recursivelyAI/…

@code Looks good, but I'm staying with Tabnine. Works perfectly for me.👍
@code How about fixing the 120% CPU usage issue first?
@code I’m assuming this is optional (not on by default) for folks who aren’t concerned about Microsoft collecting their IP (code)?
@code @bitbuilder_ai creates Pull Requests from Issue descriptions. Learn more at docs.bitbuilder.ai
@code Is it just me or would all of those commands have Sounded better if they where /coCreate… 👀
@code Check out @sweep__ai for a Copilot that automatically creates PRs, without needing an IDE!
@code Great! Now add highlighting code + command k to make GPT changes :)
@code But it is not possible to use it for free😏 I’mactively using “Amazon codewhisperer” and I am satisfied 🤙
@code The copilot 🧑✈️ is gradually becoming the pilot 🛫.
@code All of those services do not worth a $10 subscriptions imo.
@code Visual studio with chatgpt api would be great addition
@code Great! But what I REALLY need is beeing able to better set my own context! - A simple text interface where i can copy in a "systemMessage" would be good. - A feature to mark relevant files would be great! - Chat not forgetting my messages if the after 5 seconds would be amazing!!
@code Maybe I'm using it wrong, but CoPilot chat doesn't appear to be providing better help than ChatGPT (in fact I've found ChatGPT to be more reliable), despite having direct access to my code/workspace. We should be doing much more. Anyway, I'm excited about these new features.
@code Awesome! GitHub Copilot has really increased my efficiency. However, every time I debug a Flutter project, it tends to lag quite a bit. Why is that?
@code @philkellr More Github Copilot functionality coming to VSCode
