I feel like there is a misconception among Us where people think AI is good with numbers because computers run on zeros and ones. How AI really works is by predicting the next word through matching variations of the most possible answer by leveraging language models. AI doesn't truly understand logic like the way a human does. A human understands that if A=B and B=C, then A must logically equal C through deductive reasoning. An AI, however, "understands" this by recognizing a statistical pattern from vast examples where such transitive relationships appear, predicting the outcome based on probability rather than an inherent grasp of the logical rule itself. Understanding this key principle will hopefully help us write better prompts =]
