I can remember when I first got into Web3, It was hard fr I had zero gigs, zero connections, and zero clue where to start. I’d refresh job sites every day, hoping someone would magically hand me an opportunity. Unfortunately, Nobody did. What actually changed my Web3 journey wasn’t waiting... It was building proof of work before anyone paid me. Yeah, I know some of you are probably thinking: “How do I build proof of work if I don’t have a gig yet?” Well, I’ll show you how I did mine And how you’re already doing yours without even knowing it. [ Like 🤍 + Retweet ♻️] So by the time i had enough of waiting and begging, I went into action I started writing threads, breaking down projects I liked, and helping communities for free Those little contributions became my “portfolio,” and they spoke louder than any resume ever could. And that’s actually what proof of work really is: Its giving a clear, visible evidence of your skills and contributions. You don't wait till you get hired Take a Tailor for example How do you know someone is a tailor? You look at their dressing, right? It's not really until they sew for you You can tell from the things you see from afar That can also be applied to Web3 jobs Flaunt your skills ◽️Are you a writer ? Write ◽️Are you a Graphic Designer? Design ◽️Are you a marketer ? Market a project that you are bullish on ◽️Are you a skilled community manager or moderator? Jump into communites and help the members out in any way But as you are doing this , Make sure to be documenting How? If you recieve any commendation, Take a screenshot If you haven't recieved any, ask people to rate your work, When they do, Take a screenshot When you take those screenshots, document them And you've just gotten yourself a solid proof of work And before you know it, Projects will start DMing Let me be real: Nobody starts in Web3 with a big title or a perfect resume. Most of us started by putting ourselves out there when nobody was watching. Your proof of work is your leverage. Build it piece by piece, and soon opportunities will come looking for you. If you’ve been waiting for someone to hire you first Stop. Start creating, Start contributing, And let your work speak louder than your DMs
