Do not test take homes or interviews on candidates!!! They’re not guinea pigs. Use existing team members like a red team that wasn’t involved in the exercise creation. And it should take them a quarter of the time because anxiety and other factors aren’t in play.

Deep frying is like deep learning sometimes. You spend an order of magnitude more resources to achieve a perhaps marginal improvement over shallow methods, but boy does it look tastier!
