@codewithvoid You can't vibe code properly unless you're a developer.
@codewithvoid True. Hit a wall. Again and again and again. Then got better at debugging it. Now, don't hit the wall as much. But I cannot thank coders enough for their generosity and knowledge that they share.
@codewithvoid Well, its a true path one must take, and many vibers will stop there. But there's no reason vibers can't learn to debug. I just give console and error logs to the ai and it fixes things.
@codewithvoid Yes, but until they hit a wall, actual dev was not needed. That really shows we are entering different era of app development.
@codewithvoid Nope, after a while, vibe coders learn how to look at the code see what's wrong and fix it manually instead of squandering tokens,
@codewithvoid True but i think if he is a sane dev he will rewrite from scratch, its just impossible to fix a codebase written entirely by AI
@codewithvoid Nope. I've been coding since I was 8 and doing this professionally for 16 years. LLMs are amazing and you should use them to write code.
@codewithvoid You just have to be very clean with your requests, I’ve seen cursor run into errors more frequently when you generalize or switch things around. A vibe coder is only as good as his prompts
@codewithvoid 100% they keep coming to me to fix issues, it’s quite entertaining really though
@codewithvoid That’s been my experience, so far! Coding skills shouldnt be lost during this AI revolution, but I fear they will.
@codewithvoid Uhm… we are not ready for this kind of truth yet
@codewithvoid even for vibe coding you need to know what’s happening
@codewithvoid That's why current AI tools are a godsend for people that already know how to develop since it makes them MUCH more productive. It may also help them pick up new skills if used wisely. However, it is pretty terrible for novices that can't just debug what the AI model gives them.
@codewithvoid The one thing to realise is that, Developers only spend less than half of their time writing code - rest is spend on debugging, fixing bugs and talking with ChatGPT
@codewithvoid Yeah, got an email from one who sent a link and said "Hey, make this work, and if you did well I'll compensate you".😂😂
@codewithvoid As a long-time dev who has tried vibe coding ... yes. You cannot vibe code any level of real complexity. That said, the use of AI in coding is very helpful and can speed dev quite a bit.

@codewithvoid And now im back to school for a bachelors….
@codewithvoid Yes, or they have to start over... they don't have the foundational knowledge to know what the correct approach is
@codewithvoid That’s an opportunity for us to !!!
@codewithvoid Vibe coding is only valuable for a DEV not for beginners
@codewithvoid depends on the scale - and not all devs can fix it tbh
