I think the thing about TTRPGs is they attract a lot of pedant nerds (a group I’m 100% a part of lest I be accused of putting on airs) and that doesn’t lead to a healthy concept of debate

Like if you enjoy hyperbolic screaming matches: bother talking about TTRPGs because they’re good to think with (use as a catspaw to pedant about an unrelated issue)
Like even the people who nominally agree ideologically are bad at cohesion in a way any other subculture would deride, metal somehow has more LARPing than the subculture the term was coined in response to
if in a heist movie someone said “I need a game designer!” What would the person contribute to the group.
