The footage for this video was about 6 minutes long (2x as long as the video itself because it was a side-by-side comparison) and captured in high quality ProRes. That 6 minute footage was 111GB in total size on disk. 💀

RTX Hair on vs off in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The way the light interacts with hair is more realistic with RTX on as the hair is treated as strands. Performance hit is usually 4% on a 5090, which is not bad, but can occasionally be around 8%. youtube.com/watch?v=QdwcII…

Looks like Cronos: The New Dawn has some of the same issues as Silent Hill 2, albeit to a lesser degree. The game also kills 8GB GPUs on anything higher than Low texture settings. youtube.com/watch?v=xC8BjD…

Improving the capture workflow with the Atomos Ninja. Plugs in directly into the HDMI port & captures pristine ProRes video without using any of the PC's resources. No dedicated recording PC or OBS needed. It's only HDMI 2.0 so no 4K120, but 120fps is irrelevant for YT anyway.
