Coming from a strictly C#/.Net background, I keep making a bunch of false assumptions about how Godot works, especially with Instancing. Slowly making progress though...never stopping.

What are some games that successfully blend genres together? I'm thinking things like the NES game Pinball Quest, or Wizorb, or maybe Black & White. I feel like there are a lot of games that do this, but I'm struggling to come up with a good list.

I couldn't help myself. Although the current menu works really nicely, it's extremely rigid and tied to Godot-specific parts for extending it's functionality. SO...I guess I'm gonna have to make it better. #indiedev #indegames #madewithgodot #godotengine

It's obviously not final, but I got my centralized system for notifications working in Consequencity. Eventually all this programmer art will be replaced, but it's nice to see actionable, and ephemeral notifications working. #indiedev #indiegames #madewithgodot #godotengine

Coming from the perspective of a career C#/WPF developer, the Godot UI controls feel pretty fidgity. Getting them to fit their contents and display where I want is proving more work than I thought it would be.

Just for fun, I experimented with adding a day/night cycle to the game with dynamic lights. The current plan is to have 4 cycles per in-game year, so that's roughly 1.5 minutes of real time per day. #gamedev #indiegame #indiegameDev #GodotEngine #MadeWithGodot
