Portable projectors - do any of my friends know anything about them, mainly to use from an iPhone but sometimes a laptop. What is good or bad & what features are needed or a waste of time?

I preferred it when the polling card was open & the political agendas, manifesto information came at once. All of this bumph that keeps coming through the door is a waste of resources. It is all in different formats so difficult to compare. Keeps the recyclers busy though.

The madness of insurance, today I renewed my van insurance, Direct Line were about £1000 cheaper than the cheapest on Confused. So I thought I’m try the car, Direct Line were about £1600 more than the cheapest on Confused. Same 2 drivers, same address, just seems bonkers!

I’m not an economist but with the rise of fuel, labour & material costs over recent years, UK public funded services either need to be drastically reduced or taxes significantly increased to pay for them. Whilst I don’t want to pay more tax, I can’t see an alternative.

Why are there so many discourteous drivers around? A simple nod or hand up or light flash is the least people should do if I’ve bothered to stop for them if they’ve got right of way, even more important if I’ve got right of way & had to stop.

A recent job was to swap 2 light fittings, fortunately the existing homeowner knew their limitations & asked me to do it. The previous owner or someone on their behalf obviously didn’t know their limitations, where to put the connections or what colour to use for earth or live.

Photographers are great at their job, advertising & marketing people are good at their job but whatever product you are advertising should be technically correct. Why don’t the marketing people ever liaise with technical people to get the photos at least technically correct?
