Students can now insert an image into the rich text editor available to them while composing a response to an essay question in a quiz or exam. This adds additional flexibility in the kinds of quiz or exam questions that can be asked of students.

When updating the metadata for a course's Schedule Builder (eg; how to label the center column, what the schedule note says), updates now appear immediately rather than continuing to use old, cached data for a half hour.

The "Cumulative student access information for each lecture section" report now shows useful section titles instead of "sec0a, sec0b, sec0c, sec0d, ..." in courses where lecture numbering is not used.

If a student has opted in to enhanced personal information protection in SIS, CoursePlus no longer shows their email address or self-reported location information on the course roster, Discussion Forum posts, and wiki.

Merging of rosters in merged section CoursePlus sites now occurs automatically when registration opens for any academic term in SIS. There is no longer a delay in merging students in a .41 section site into the corresponding .01 section site, for example.

The CoursePlus team has reworked large sections of the Discussion Forum code base, resulting in significant performance improvements in the past week. The “Recent Discussion Forum Postings” box on the course home page is the next, and final, target for rebuilding.

If the only piece of a LiveTalk recording missing is the transcript, the email which faculty and TAs receive about missing LiveTalk recordings only references the transcript, not the video and the transcript.

The denial of service attack on the BSPH network which prevented access to CoursePlus ended just before midnight. Access to CoursePlus has been normal since that time. We thank you for your patience during this time.

BSPH IT continues to work to mitigate the Denial of Service (DDOS) attack currently happening against the BSPH network, and, by extension, CoursePlus. We advise against taking quizzes or exams in CoursePlus during this attack as you will experience network interruptions.

While some requests from within the BSPH network are being processed, people outside the BSPH network cannot access CoursePlus. This may be another denial of service attack on the BSPH network. Again, BSPH IT is working hard to resolve the issue with the BSPH network.
