The Hour of Code will happen tomorrow. This year marks our 2nd Hour of Code event, all in efforts to broaden participation and raise awareness in the Botswana community about CSEd to drive change and support. We could not have done it without facilitators and industry partners.

@EthelTshukudu and I had a great chat on @Gabzfmnews today! We spoke about fostering computing among Batswana youth, weaving culture into coding activities, and the impact of early computing initiatives in underrepresented communities. #HourOfCode It was my first time on-air!

Excited and honored to welcome Emma @dosesofem, pursuing her Ph.D. at @UMich, specializing in multilingualism in CSED as part of Engineering Education research. She joins us for an internship at @csedbotswana, to broaden participation in CSEd. Looking forward to working with her!

Thrilled about upcoming initiatives, we engaged in a 3-day workshop with computer studies teachers to gather advice for culturally relevant content in Setswana language for the Hour of Code. Exciting outcomes to be unveiled soon, leveraging the Hedy PL by @Felienne.
