Spoke to doctors at Guy’s Hospital today. One doctor is leaving the NHS after failing to get a training job and being unable to support their family on their pay. Unemployed doctors. Long waiting lists. And a Health Secretary who looks away. This is 21st century Britain.

@anaesthetic_spr Terrible. For what it’s worth I’m glad to be nearing retirement. A nurse is a nurse and a Dr is a Dr. Different roles, expertise, knowledge. Why this blurring of roles and responsibilities. Neck on the line here - it’s not safe or appropriate.
ACPs are way more dangerous than physician assistants They think passing RCEM membership exams puts them on par with EM registrars and consultants. You can’t bypass more than a decade of undergraduate and postgraduate training that doctors go through. Change my mind.

@irikandji Officially a session is counted at 4hr 10mins so 9 session is 37.5hrs But there is a huge catch Most GPs are doing 5-6hrs in every session Therefore all official working hours counted in sessions undercount working hours I worked a 40hr week over 3 1/2 days
