A Canva designer has 80% more chance of landing a job in an interview than a Photoshop designer. Why? Recruiters now value speed & presentation over complex tools. Fact or Cap?
@ctrlplusz_gist Sadly, that's the era we are in. Clients are now valuing speed over complex work. But then, there's a client for every designer.
@ctrlplusz_gist Working with a team has never been easier. With Canva, you can seamlessly work with people who are in other parts of the world without having to share gigabyte files across platforms. And you can work anywhere anytime literally. If you lost your device you can just log in
@ctrlplusz_gist Canva was always my choice if I had to make infographics or build slides for presentation. It's built intuitively easy. Obviously PS has a lot more features, but not everyone needs extreme plugins/presets for daily work
@ctrlplusz_gist A marketing agency likely values Canva designers over Photoshop designers because they don't need complex tools & they do minimal graphic work. However, a design studio will def value Photoshop designers over Canva. A PS designer can easily use Canva, but the reverse isn't true.
@ctrlplusz_gist One specifically asked me during our convo, "Do you use Canva"? Lol.
@ctrlplusz_gist I really think a good creative doesn't matter about the software he or she uses, look we all know there's an industry standard but as a good creative your limits should be limitless..whatever software you use as a creative just be good at it that's all
@ctrlplusz_gist Fact Especially when they can monitor your designs
@ctrlplusz_gist Caught a foreign gig and all they needed was for me to design with canva . Lucky me , I'm good at adapting to tools , I learnt canva interface with their design and also did it well. No one will know it's actually my first time using the tool 😀😀
@ctrlplusz_gist This war you have started might not end anytime soon
@ctrlplusz_gist For me, I'll say it Depends on the context of the Job. Brands who aren't into complex designs would rather pick Canva Designers and plus the fact that Canva gives them Leverage (collaboration). Canva is a design tool that makes their work much easier compared to Photoshop.
@ctrlplusz_gist As an employer, I don't really care which tool you use as long as you get the job done.
