Over the last few weeks we have been honing our rounders skills, especially fielding and trying to get the batters out as quickly as possible. This week we were on fire! 🔥 practise makes perfect for Dosbarth Ebbw! @cwprimary #healthyconfidentindividuals
This week we created our own pheasant catching tricks, inspired by ‘Danny Champion of the World’ by Roald Dahl.We began by working in groups to analyse the tricks in the book then worked together to come up with our own and finally created an instructional poster! @cwprimary
As part of our ‘Champions!’ context we have been working within our teams to create a brand new game for the Commonwealth Games. This week we have been refining our rules and scoring systems. @cwprimary @EAS_Equity #enterprisingcreativecontributors
We were lucky enough to meet Welsh hockey professional Rhys Gwilliam to find out all about his career and what it means to be capped for your country in a sport.We asked lots of open questions to gain as much info as possible. Diolch Rhys! @cwprimary #healthyconfidentindividuals
This week in Ebbw we have been developing our financial literacy. We had fun diamond ranking different jobs and justifying our decisions. #ethicalinformedcitizens @cwprimary

We spent today’s maths lesson planning a Jubilee party using a strict budget! Such great collaborative working demonstrated in Dosbarth Ebbw. We have some super spenders in our class 😃 #enterprisingcreativecontributors Happy half term pawb! @cwprimary

This week in Ebbw we started to analyse the features of play scripts. We worked in small groups to highlight the features to deepen our understanding as we start to think about writing our own, for the Greek myth Theseus & the Minotaur. @cwprimary #ambitiouscapablelearners

We had a fabulous time yesterday with the Drama Queens who taught us a fantastic dance routine. We all threw ourselves into the task, demonstrating excellent concentration. We LOVED it! #healthyconfidentindividuals @EAS_ExpressArts @cwprimary

Today we have been using our orcay skills to retell a Greek myth. After working in groups to prepare our presentation, we worked on making eye contact with our audience, displaying confident poise and using perfect elocution. Some of us even incorporated some drama! @cwprimary

We had the most amazing St David’s Day in Ebbw which included our fantastic Eisteddfod! Our classroom was a sea of red 🏴 We had so much fun completing lots of Welsh activities including a Kahoot quiz all about Wales. Da iawn to our fantastic Eisteddfod winners 👏🏻 @cwprimary
Yesterday we worked in pairs to solve some challenging maths reasoning problems. We definitely agreed that two heads are better than one as we were trying to work out some of these! #ambitiouscapablelearners @cwprimary
