@ID_AA_Carmack The fact that the eye uses a sort of Fourier transform called a Gabor wavelet to preprocess features suggests that to enhance text classification, you need it clean. Broad spectrum noise takes longer to separate. Isn't it entirely obvious that efficient reading is a priority.

I genuinely believe this is a modern programming art. No vibe coder will be able to repro this. It’s a neon simd assembly that converts RGB to YUV in the most efficient way possible: processing 8 pixels at once for the Y and working only w/ even pixels on even rows for cb/cr.
