I’ve noticed something beautiful about African culture: no matter where you are, Africans treat each other like family. Complete strangers greet each other with respect, look out for one another’s children, and carry a sense of loyalty that feels unshakable. But here in the UK, it often feels the opposite. Instead of lifting each other up, people are quick to tear each other down. On social media, instead of support, you find arguments, insults, and negativity over things that don’t even matter. It’s as if being cruel has become entertainment. What I admire about Africans is how they stand together, celebrate each other, and choose unity over conflict. That spirit of community is something the UK could really learn from.
