While the FY26 DOE request slashes RE by 70% (incl. zeroing out wind + solar R&D), admin has proposed $32M increase for the geothermal office. Sector has long urged extra $$ for next-gen demonstration projects. Would be overshadowed by ITC repeal - but a bit of promising news.
