When someone tells you “if you don’t have [X certification], you won’t make it in cybersecurity,” that usually says more about their own career than yours. Skills, experience, and proof of work will always carry more weight than certificates.

I keep seeing people proudly share things like, "I just gave ChatGPT this prompt and was amazed to see how much it knows about me after years of conversations!" and I honestly just can’t understand how anyone thinks this is a good thing to be honest with you.
