Today is world diabetes day, it was just over a year ago my son was diagnosed with Type 1. Since that time I have learned to carb count, manage sugar highs and lows, and developed plans for school, sports and other activities. #diabetes

Waiting in line for 10 minutes to get into the IWK parking garage and no cars are getting in. I call the switchboard and was told by a security guard that the lot was full. You know what would be helpful? A sign that lights up when the lot is full. Make it easier on patients.

Today is another hard day. I not only miss my wife but I miss what we didn't get to do. This upcoming week, the kids and I are doing something we always wanted to do as a family. I'm not sure if I am strong enough to enjoy it without her. #Grief

Grief really sucks. I was having dinner with the kids, and one of my wife's favorite songs came on. I can never predict when something will remind me of her and realize I will never share it with her again.
