In 1921, as Mayor of Poplar, Theosophist George Lansbury was jailed for leading a campaign against an unfair rates system which got the law changed. A plaque in Poplar celebrates this stuggle. A plaque at Adyar to mark the Sacked Adyar Workers' Struggle is highly appropriate.

Annie Besant fought throughout her life against social injustice and inequality. She championed the cause of the disadvantaged and exploited. She set a fine example for the Theosophical Movement and was a credit to it.

In 1888 Annie Besant helped organise a strike of the female workers at the Bryant and May match factory in London against starvation wages & toxic working conditions. The strike eventually led to their bosses significantly improving their working situation.
Radha Burnier wanted the sacked Adyar workers crushed and Tim Boyd was also so determined have them crushed that he sacked Harihararaghavan for not managing to do it. This is the true face of the Adyar Theosophical Society.

Tim Boyd was a member of the General Council and has clearly shown by his actions as international president that he wanted the sacked Adyar workers crushed. This must be an indication of what members of the Adyar Theosophical Society General Council are really like.

The sacked Adyar workers have clearly experienced victimisation, indifference, contempt & hardship at the hands of the Adyar Theosophical Society. Their distress & trauma should not be dismissed lightly. Their suffering should be acknowledged by the Adyar Theosophical Society.

As the Adyar Theosophical Society is an organisation that promotes Brotherhood, perhaps the Sacked Adyar Workers’ Struggle could be commemorated by a memorial plaque placed in a prominent position at Adyar carrying the names of all 63 workers.

Look how Boyd has avoided his presidential responsibility. He inherited the sacked workers' case from the last president & instead of taking on responsibility for it himself as current president, he dumped it on someone else and then sacked him for not getting a favourable result

Resolution of the sacked Adyar workers case should have been Boyd’s first priority on taking office. The matter needed a proper leader to take charge of it in person, not an absentee who sleepwalked to disaster & then sacked Harihararaghavan being unable to resolve Radha's legacy
