This isn’t over. Thousands of kids have been ripped from their parents with no plan to reunite them. And now @realDonaldTrump wants to create new detention camps for families. Separating kids is unacceptable – but indefinite imprisonment of families is still cruel & inhumane.

A family “kept together” in a detention center staffed by abusers and sadists is not a solution. Demand more. Demand that the arrests end, that the cages be emptied and the people set free, demand the abolishing of ICE and DHS, and nothing less.

Let’s not dance around it: By denying asylum to domestic violence victims fleeing their abusers, the administration will cost women their lives. It shows how little this administration cares about people who are suffering. This is an attack on our most fundamental values.
